Ms. Jackson obtained her Masters of Education in Science, Elementary Education and Ontario College of Teachers Certification (OCT) from Medaille College in Buffalo. She studied Liberal Arts and received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Waterloo and is a certified Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Ms. Jackson also received her nternationally recognized Diploma for Casa Montessori Teacher from Newborough Teacher Training Institute.
In addition to her work with Rotherglen school Ms. Jackson is an avid volunteer with the Region of Peel, showcasing for her students how to be contributing members to their community. She is a member of the Region of Peel's Family Literacy Program where she helps promotes language and literacy activities that families can use in their daily routines. She is also a long standing volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, where she was awarded Girls Mentor of the Year and was also nominated for the Woman of Achievement award. Ms. Jackson is passionate about teaching young children, encouraging and inspiring them through continuous learning. She is a leader in our school community, advocate for our students and a REAL teacher.
